Malicious Emails
Please exercise caution when receiving email messages appearing to originate from Banks or Financial Institutions. Cybercrime has increased significantly and malicious email messages purporting to come from trusted entities are designed to deceive you into divulging your nonpublic personal information. To help guard your information from predators, never provide your account information, password or token number over the phone or by email. Atlas Financial Bank will NEVER ask you to enter personal or account information via email or to download an attachment from email, nor ask you for your password, token or other security credentials via email or by telephone. Opening file attachments or web links contained in suspicious emails could expose your entire computer system to cyber-attack.
New Security Upgrade
On October 27, 2014, the www.atlasfcb.com website will be upgraded to a more secure, stronger encryption technology. Due to this upgrade and in order to provide customers with a more secure online session, the website will no longer support Microsoft Windows XP with the update Service Pack 2 or older. If a customer has this Microsoft Windows Operating system, they may see errors accessing our online banking. Our recommendation is to upgrade to Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Important Security Information Regarding "Heartbleed"
As has been widely reported, a new web vulnerability named Heartbleed has been disclosed. Atlas Financial Bank has verified our website and online banking is secure. We take every precaution to ensure your personal data is secure.
Unfortunately, many other websites may have been compromised by Heartbleed, allowing an attacker to steal passwords and credit card information from those sites. If there is any possibility that you have used your Atlas Financial Bank Online Banking password on any other website, we encourage you to change your Online Banking password as a precaution against compromised security on other websites. According to reports, popular websites such as Yahoo, have been impacted by this vulnerability. We encourage you to take this opportunity to follow recommended security practices and set up a unique password for your online banking accounts – one that you do not use on other sites. If you have additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service team at +1 408 940 0979.
